RAL7000SOUNDS x RINARO at Milano Design Week
When Sound Becomes Sculpture

At Milan Design Week Apr-25, the usual hum of conversation gave way to something deeper, a living, breathing soundscape you could step inside. “STEMS OF LIFE”, a collaboration between RAL7000SOUNDS and RINARO ISODYNAMICS, transformed the BE@RBRICK AUDIO speaker into an interactive instrument, fusing audio with kinetic art.

The result? A multi-sensory performance that made visitors part of the music.

Inside the bold space of RAL7000STUDIO, sound wasn’t just played — it was deconstructed, reconstructed, and reimagined. Each BE@RBRICK AUDIO speaker became a channel for a single “stem”, an isolated element of an original track. Moving through the space meant moving through layers of rhythm, melody, and texture, each shifting and colliding in real time. This was not passive listening. This was sound in motion; fluid, reactive, alive.

Beyond the sonic architecture, the installation embraced physical interaction. Motion-sensitive systems, powered by TouchDesigner and Kinect, responded to the subtlest gestures. A sweep of the hand could stretch a 3D digital form, shift its colour, or alter its surface material. Step forward, and the environment would swell around you. Every movement became a sculptural and sonic act.

For RAL7000SOUNDS, the Milan-based collective known for merging global art and audio culture, “STEMS OF LIFE” continued their mission to push sound beyond its traditional boundaries. Partnering with RINARO ISODYNAMICS, pioneers of high-end audio engineering, they created an experience that felt resolutely future-facing yet grounded in human presence.

Here, sound was not static. It breathed. It transformed. It reacted. This was sound as sculpture. Sound as performance. Sound as life.
